What you get

What's included in a novated lease?

One of the best things about a novated lease is that it is not just the car. Your running costs are bundled in and paid from pre-tax salary too, so one regular deduction covers almost everything.

The car and the finance

At its core, the lease covers the car itself and the finance behind it. With us, the finance rate is shown plainly, with one flat $1,500 fee and no commission hidden inside the rate.

The running costs, bundled in

  • Fuel, or electricity and charging for an EV
  • Comprehensive insurance
  • Registration and CTP
  • Servicing and repairs
  • Tyres
  • Roadside assistance

These are estimated for how far you actually drive and packaged into one pre-tax figure, so you are not paying for them separately out of your take-home pay.

What is not included

Fines, tolls and anything outside normal running costs are yours. At the end of the term there is a residual (balloon) amount owing on the car, which you pay, refinance or settle by selling. We show the residual up front so it is never a surprise.

Common questions

Are running costs really included?
Yes. Fuel or charging, insurance, rego, servicing and tyres are estimated and bundled into your pre-tax payment. The calculator shows how the running-cost budget is built.
Is insurance included in a novated lease?
Comprehensive insurance can be bundled into the lease and paid from pre-tax salary. See novated lease insurance for what to look for in a policy.
What is the residual at the end?
A set amount owing on the car at the end of the term, based on ATO guidelines. You can pay it, refinance it, or sell the car to cover it. We show it clearly in your quote.
