Why novated-lease a Toyota Prado?
A large 4WD SUV. On a novated lease the numbers get better again, because the payments and the running costs come out of your salary before tax.
- Paid from pre-tax salary, which lowers your taxable income
- Fuel, insurance, rego, servicing and tyres bundled into one payment
- You save the GST on the purchase price as well
Is the Toyota Prado FBT exempt?
No. The FBT exemption is only for battery-electric and hydrogen cars, so a petrol, diesel or hybrid Toyota Prado does not get it. You still save on a novated lease: the running costs come out of pre-tax salary and you save the GST on the car and its running costs. To keep FBT to nil, part of the payment is made post-tax (the employee contribution method), which is why a petrol or hybrid car saves less than an equivalent EV. If the biggest tax saving is what you are after, see the EV options. We will always show you both, honestly.
What it costs, with nothing hidden
Most providers quote a weekly figure and keep the fees and the real interest rate out of sight. We do the opposite: one flat $1,500 fee, the true effective rate shown plainly, and the Toyota Prado’s drive-away price built to your state. The calculator gives you your number, not a national average.
