Is the Toyota Kluger FBT exempt?
No. The FBT exemption is only for battery-electric and hydrogen cars, so a petrol, diesel or hybrid Toyota Kluger does not get it. To keep FBT to nil, part of the payment is made post-tax (the employee contribution method), which is why a petrol or hybrid car saves less than an equivalent EV.
